Description
Known as the Sun Queen, she sits in quiet majesty within the Egyptian Museum, her gaze extending through the galleries to meet that of the sun-god Helios from Alexandria. This bust, crafted around 1340 BC, is attributed to the royal sculptor Thutmose, in whose Amarna workshop Nefertiti served as a model. In this sculpture, the artist’s distinct touch and the queen’s striking presence merge, evoking an expression that transcends both space and time.
